What is Buck Euchre (Freeky Clubs)?

Buck Euchre, traditionally known by many as Dirty Clubs, is an intense 4-player individual variation of the classic card game Euchre. In our official "Freeky Clubs" games, you have no partner — it's every player for themselves!

The 25-Point Countdown System

Unlike regular Euchre where you count up to 10 points, in Buck Euchre you start high and work your way down to zero.

The "Bucked" Penalty

The game isn't just about taking tricks; it's about avoiding disaster.

Staying In vs. Dropping Out

Because getting Bucked is so costly, you have a critical choice to make after trump is called.

You can choose to Stay In and fight for tricks, or Drop Out of the hand entirely. If you drop out, you sit the hand out, your score doesn't change, and you avoid the risk of taking a 5-point penalty.

Note: The player who called the trump suit (the Maker) must get 3 tricks, should they get set they add 5 points to there score.

The "Freeky Clubs" Twist (Dirty Clubs Rule)

If a Club is flipped up as the initial trump card by the dealer, the rules change drastically:

  • Clubs are Auto-Trump! The dealer must pick up the club and discard.
  • Everybody MUST stay in the hand! Nobody is allowed to drop out, putting everyone at immediate risk of getting Bucked.

Stick the Dealer

To keep the action moving, we enforce the Stick the Dealer rule. If all players pass on both the first and second rounds of bidding, the dealer is forced to call a trump suit.
